On November 18, 2019, we convened an In Utero Gene Therapy Think Tank in San Francisco to expand the discussion around performing gene therapy in fetuses. We gathered thought leaders from UCSF and across the country with expertise in maternal-fetal medicine, prenatal  diagnostics, fetal surgery, bioethics, science policy, patient engagement, gene therapy, and clinical trials to outline prerequisites for a first-in-human trial of fetal gene therapy.
