In this session, Dr. Baskin will define standard versus severe hypospadias and discuss embryology, etiology, treatment, and outcomes related to hypospadias, a condition that often develops in male fetuses with Alpha Thalassemia Major.
This seminar is part of a quarterly series focused on alpha thalassemia major (ATM), which is intended to build an international consortium of experts in hematology, maternal-fetal medicine, genetics, fetal therapy, and neonatology to improve care for patients with ATM. Each session is dedicated to a single speaker/topic and lasts one hour, including a 30-minute presentation, followed by moderated discussion.
